The story

We watched the pipeline break, one cold lead at a time.

Before GiveReferrals, we worked with one of the nation's largest Zillow Flex teams, where we were responsible for more than 150,000 leads. That kind of volume shows you exactly where a system breaks.

Talented agents burned thousands a month on leads that converted at a few percent. Meanwhile the warm referrals, the ones that actually close, fell through the cracks because nobody had built the infrastructure to reliably manage them.

So we built a network of agents worth recommending. The kind you'd trust with your own family.

Twenty-plus years in leadership roles, and helping good salespeople do their job even better is still my thing.

Most of my career was in pharma, landing as VP of Sales at a biotech company. With an MBA and years in marketing and leadership, I honed what I do best: seeing the problems other people miss, and building the system that fixes them.

That's what led me to real estate. Watching my sister, a top-producing agent, run a multimillion-dollar business on tools designed for hobbyists drove me crazy. Agents were doing some of the hardest work I'd ever seen, with almost none of the support to make it sustainable.

So I got my license, sold a few houses, and joined one of the largest teams in the country. That's where I met Matt, and we realized referrals were where we could really make a difference. GiveReferrals is more than infrastructure. It's a platform built on trust and integrity. Because that's what agents, and their clients, deserve.

I'm an engineer and an MBA who has worked just about everywhere.

Factory floors, oil fields, semiconductor fabs, rooftops, waste treatment, patents, high tech, and boardrooms. Every job taught me the same thing: broken systems come at a cost, and nobody fixes them without seeing the big picture.

In real estate, that breakdown is everywhere. An agent spends years earning a client's trust. Then the client moves, types a zip code into a search site, and gets handed to a stranger. They never think to ask the agent they already trusted. The referral fee disappears. So does the chance to actually help.

Proverbs 22:1 says a good name is more desirable than great riches. This platform only works if the agents on it are worth trusting. So every member is vetted for competence and integrity, the kind of agent with a name worth protecting. That's the whole design. Trust is built into GiveReferrals, and I take leading by example personally.
